“Peter fitted 47 sq m of tongue and groove wood flooring, work which was carried out to a very high standard. He cut a gap along the bottom of the existing skirting for the expansion gap. This cut was very neat and level and the method meant we could keep the original Edwardian skirting. It also saved the hassle of replacing the current skirting with new – including plaster being removed as the old skirting is pulled off – something we’ve had done in the past. Peter also sanded down and varnished the original parquet floor in the hallway. The transformation was amazing!”

There were issues with getting the height of the hall floor, level with the lounge but they were able to achieve a finish with no steps, without any fuss. In some areas, brand new parquet was used to fill in some gaps but it is hard to distinguish from the original or reclaimed. The parquet was expertly laid with no gaps – a complex jigsaw puzzle well done!”
